Hai Fellas

I challenge any of you to try writing an exam with this stuck in your head:
Not easy.
Not easy at all.

My sister is in the next room drinking beer.  I'm so jealous.
I'm still studying and I just got out of an exam.

Ffuucckk

Ok so we went to Thunderheist last night.
Here we at my house beforehand:
I remember the crowd being lame the first time at The Pyramid, but that's another story.  So, I had spent quite a large portion of time right by the front, anticipating the band.  But, whatever, duh I went outside for a bit.  Upon my return, I tried to join a few friends in the front and this guy FLIPS HIS SHIT.
He was wearing a grey wife beater and a necklace and had spiked his hair.
He was like "NO, NO WAY.  I EARNED THIS!"  Repeatedly.

He should try earning a ticket on a time machine back to 1999, because I'm sure b44 is missing him GREATLY.  So, in front of me was this horrible dude was kicking Lexi in the shins while "dancing", possibly in an attempt to gain more space?  I'm not sure what the motivation to kick a girl in the shins is.

So I snapped his ridiculous sweat band.  But it was gross and sweaty. Point: Horrid fat guy.
Emma, I have some bad news.  This is what happened to my lipstick last night:

It fell out of my bag and got trampled.  At least I found my phone, but my lipstick could sadly not be saved.
RIP Dubonet lipstick 2008-2009.
You served us well.
Oh yeah, Thanks for the permanent burn scar, Jonny Wilson:
Things this means about my life now:
-I have to wear a wedding dress with elbow-length sleeves
-psychological trauma

I looked up the cost of scar revision of surgery, and I'll be needing $500-3000.  Thanks.

Worst Procrastinator

Another update! How do you know I'm "studying"...
Anyway, how badly do I want these:
Does anybody else LOVE Girls Aloud?  For those of you who don't know, they're a British girl group who were created on a Reality TV show sort of like "Sugar Jones" but with a surprising amount of staying power.
So for some reason they are putting out fake eye lashes and they all look worth trying but Cheryl's seem the nicest (typical).
Here are two amazing Girls Aloud music videos that will convert you. I promise:

I had a link to download all of their albums but that blog has been removed =/
Speaking of musical obsessions, Filthy Dukes debut album, 'Nonsense in the Dark', is amazing.
I was always a huge fan of their remixes (their remix of The Maccabees' "X-Ray" was way better than the original) so I was super excited to listen to the album.  It did not disappoint.  It's easily one of my favourite albums to come out thus far in 2009. The highlight of the album for me is the title track, featuring Orlando Weeks from the Maccabees (one of my favourite bands, who's sophmore album comes out in a month!).

If you haven't purchased/downloaded it, GET ON IT.

Winnipeg's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives

Ok, you guys.
I'm obsessed with Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.  If Guy Fieri blessed Winnipeg with his Godly presence, which places do you think he'd feature?
These are my choices:
Half Moon in Lockport
Not in Winnipeg technically but Guy usually does stops along the way.  Holy shit this place is sooo fun.  It's in competition with near-by Skinners to be like the epic Manitoba hot dog.  But I don't really like Skinners.  Half Moon is 100x better, with it's little arcade games.  More so than the food the appeal is the fun summer-y ness.  I can't wait to stop off here for fries & ice cream on the way home from the beach at Bird's Hill this summer.
VJs on Main

I don't really eat burgers, but if I'm going to, they are going to be from here.  My dad loves VJs and eats there way too much, and is developing heart problems as a result.  That's how you know it's good.
Salisbury House
I don't think this really needs an explanation.  Winnipeg icon.  The other day I texted Natalie and said "I can't really comprehend a culture without Salisbury House." We both agreed it's so strange and foreign that people don't understand Sals.  Fuck, I would do anything for a Cheese, Bacon & Egg nip right now.
Tell me what I've missed!

Edit: Dairi Wip

The oddly spelt name of this drive-in is easily forgiven when you get some food from here.  It's another totally awesome, Greek-owned drive-in in the same vein as VJs.  Same deal with your good burgers & fries.

I fucking love Murder Mystery Games

So I haven't played three of the four of these that I own.
For those of you poor souls who have never played, murder mystery games are eight player games, in which you each have a character and a script, and ONE OF YOU IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A MURDER.
"An Evening of Murder: The Last Kiss" is about a bunch of cheerleaders, jocks and football players in the 60s trying to see who among them killed the head cheerleader.

I haven't played any "How to Host a Murders" but they have Vincent Price on the box so I assume they are gold. "The Watersdown Affair" is a bunch of aristocrats in 1936 at a British estate.

This is the one I want to play the most.  It takes place on a train leaving Paris in 1940, smuggling people away from a Nazi invasion.
Are these as fantastically fun as I think they are? Or are they totally lame? Does anyone wanna get a game going?  According to the box they take a mere 2-3 hours.
